Notifications

In the CargoEZ customer portal, notifications are generated when milestones are created for shipments. When creating a shipment milestone, there is an option to select "Visible to Parties." If the contact accessing the customer portal is a party associated with that particular shipment, every milestone related to the shipment tracking will be displayed in the Notifications menu.

Generating Notifications

  1. Create or open an existing shipment in CargoEZ.

  2. Add a milestone (refer to Tracking).

  3. In the milestone form, select Visible to Parties.

  4. Choose the parties to receive notifications, including the contact accessing the customer portal.

  5. Save the milestone.

Viewing Notifications

  1. Customer receives a notification in the left sidebar Notifications menu.

  2. Notification includes shipment details and milestone updates.

  3. Customer stays informed about shipment progress by viewing the notification.
