Estimate
Estimates are formal offers presented to customers, detailing the costs and terms associated with our logistics services. In Cargo Books, you can create, edit, send, and track estimates.
Create New Estimates
To create a new estimate, follow these steps:
Navigate to the
Estimate menu in the left side bar.
Click
New button on the top right corner.
It will prompt to the window Create Estimate.
Fill in the necessary details for the estimate, including customer information, services requested, and pricing.
Choose from the following options:
Save as Draft: Save the estimate as a draft for future editing.
Save and Approve: Save the estimate and approve it for further processing.
Save and Send: Save the estimate and send it to the customer for review.
Clone Estimates
Cloning an estimate allows you to duplicate an existing estimate, making it quick and easy to create similar estimates for different customers or scenarios. Follow these steps to clone an estimate:
Navigate to the
Estimates section.
Locate the estimate you want to clone and click the
button.
Click on the Clone option.
It will prompt to the window Create Estimate.
Fill in the necessary details for the estimate.
Click Save.
Edit Estimates
To edit an existing estimate, follow these steps:
Navigate to the
Estimates section.
Locate the estimate you want to edit and click the
button.
Click on the Edit option.
Update the necessary details as required.
Choose one of the following actions:
Save: Save the changes made to the estimate.
Save and Send: Save the updated estimate and send it to the customer for their review.
Send Estimates
To send an estimate to a customer, follow these steps:
Navigate to the
Estimates.
Locate the estimate you want to send and click the
button.
Click on the Send option.
It will prompt to Quotation Mail Preview window.
Click the Send button.
Convert Estimate to Invoice
Navigate to the
Estimates.
Locate the estimate you want to send and click the
button.
Click on the Convert option.
It will prompt to Create Invoice window.
Choose from the following options:
Save as Draft: Save the estimate as a draft for future editing.
Save and Submit: Save the estimate to initiate further processing, and the invoice will be generated.
Managing Estimate Status
To manage the status of an estimate, follow these steps:
Navigate to the
Estimates.
Locate the estimate you want to manage and click the
button.
Choose from the following options:
Mark as Accepted
: Confirm acceptance of the estimate by the customer.
Mark as Declined
: Indicate that the customer has declined the estimate.
