Master Shipment vs. House Shipment

In terms of export logistics process, both the Master Shipments and the House Shipments are used. Learn about the key differences between the two types of shipments

What is a Master Shipment?

A Master Shipment is a large shipment made by combining many smaller shipments. This makes it easier and more efficient to move goods from one place to one or more destinations.

How to make a shipment as Master Shipment and House Shipment?

1. Click on the shipment file from the shipment menu to convert it into a master shipment.

2. Go to the House Tab.

3. In the Attach Shipment section, enter the shipment file number in the text box.

To designate a shipment as a house shipment, it must be created first. Only then can you link the specific shipment to the master shipment.

1. A dialogue box will appear asking for confirmation to attach the shipment.

2. Click Attach Shipment to receive a confirmation that the shipment has been successfully attached.

3. The original shipment will now be the Master Shipment, and the attached shipment will become the House Shipment.
