Floor

The Floor section in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) module allows for the organization and allocation of storage space directly on the warehouse floor. This feature is essential for optimizing ground-level storage, ensuring efficient space utilization, and facilitating easy access to goods.

Floor Section

  1. Go to View Zones and click on +Add Zone & Locations.

  2. Under Location Type -> Choose Floor.

  3. Fill in the required details. For additional guidance, refer to Floor Setup Details.

Floor Setup Details

Field
Description

Prefix

Prefix used for location identifiers.

No. of Floors

The number of floors within the zone.

Rows per Floor

The number of rows per floor.

Columns per Floor

The number of columns per floor.

Sq ft per Location

The square footage allocated to each location.

Additional Features

When allocating floor, you'll discover additional features:

  1. Toggle Identifier: Choose between ABC 123 identifiers for Rows & Columns. The layout will generate names based on this selection.

  2. Layout Adjustment: Use and buttons to increase or decrease the number of rows and columns.

Duplicate Floor

  1. Click button next to the Floor field.

  2. Select Duplicate Floor from the options.

  3. The duplicated floor will be added to the bottom of the existing floor.

Add Aisle

  1. Click button next to the floor field.

  2. Choose either Add Aisle Above or Add Aisle Below.

  3. An aisle will be added in the position you selected, either above or below the current one.

Delete Aisle

  1. Click button next to the aisle you wish to delete.

  2. A warning message will appear, asking, Are you sure you want to delete this aisle?

  3. Click Yes to confirm. The aisle will get deleted.

Aisle as Storage

Certain users wanted to utilize the aisle as a storage area, allowing this space to be used more efficiently.

  1. Select the Use Aisle as Storage Place checkbox next to the aisle.

  2. This action will convert the aisle into a storage area.

After configuring all the fields for floor locations, click the Save button.

Once the floor locations are saved, updates cannot be done.
