User Management and Role Assignment
The User Management feature in CargoEZ allows administrators to add new users, assign roles, and control access permissions. By configuring roles and permissions, you can ensure secure and efficient workflows tailored to your business needs.
Navigation to User Management
From the Dashboard:
Click on the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
Access User Management:
In the Settings menu, select User Management.
You will be directed to the User Management page.
Adding a New User
Click the "Add User" Button:
On the User Management page, locate and click the Add User button.
Enter User Details:
Fill in the required fields, such as name, email, and contact information.
Assign a role to the user by selecting from the predefined list.
Save the User:
Click Save to add the user.
The new user will receive an invitation email to set up their account.
Assigning Roles to Users
Locate the User:
On the User Management page, find the user you want to assign a role to.
Edit User Roles:
Click the Edit Roles button next to the user's name.
Select one or more roles from the list of available roles.
Save Changes:
Confirm the role assignment by clicking Save.
Managing Roles and Permissions
Edit Permissions:
Navigate to the Roles section within the User Management page.
Select a role to view and modify its permission levels.
Enable or disable specific permissions to control user access to features and data.
Delete Roles:
Identify the role you want to remove and click the Delete Role button.
Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the role. to Document the Homepage
Suspending or Removing Users
Suspend a User:
Locate the user in the User Management list.
Click the Suspend User button to temporarily disable their access.
Suspended users can be reactivated at any time.
Remove a User:
Click the Delete User button to permanently remove a user.
Confirm the action to complete the removal.
Best Practices for User and Role Management
Regularly review user roles and permissions to maintain security.
Assign roles based on the principle of least privilege to minimize risks.
Suspend inactive users instead of deleting them to retain their activity history.
