Transaction Lock

In CargoBooks, the Transaction Lock feature offers a robust way to safeguard your financial data. This feature allows you to lock transactions either collectively or for individual financial entities.

Navigation

1. Click the menu in the side bar.

2. Under Settings -> Transaction Lock.

3. You'll be directed to the welcome page of Transaction Lock.

Locking All Transactions Together

You have the option to lock all transactions together by following below steps

1. Toggle theSwitch to All Transactions.

2. You'll see the option All Transactions with the adjacent Lock option.

3. Click the Lock option.

4. This action will prompt the All Transaction Lock window.

5. Enter the necessary modifications, then click the Save button.

6. As a result, all transactions will be securely locked within the specified date range.

Locking Individual Financial Entities

Alternatively, you can lock transactions for individual financial entities by accessing their respective settings.

1. Toggle off theSwitch to All Transactions option.

2. Each financial category will display a lock option adjacent to it.

3. Click the lock button next to the category where the lock needs to be applied.

4. This action will prompt the Estimate Lock window.

5. Enter the necessary details and click the Save button to finalize the lock settings.

6. As a result, the particular transaction will be securely locked withing the specified date range.

Transaction Lock Details

Setting	Description
Lock Up To	Specify the end date for the transaction lock period.
Reason Details	Provide a brief explanation or justification for the lock.
