AMS

The Automated Manifest System (AMS) is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulation requiring carriers to electronically submit cargo information before arrival in the United States. This information includes details about the shipper, consignee, and goods being transported.

Book the shipment before submitting AMS details. See Booking for the process.

Submitting AMS Details

  1. Go to Shipments.

  2. Select the sea import shipment.

  3. Open the AMS & ISF tab.

  4. Click + Submit AMS Instructions.

  5. Enter all necessary AMS details accurately.

  6. Enter all AMS information, then click Submit.

  7. You will get a message that Import AMS Saved.

AMS Approval Process in CargoEZ

Contact your Sales Rep/Operational Rep for assistance. These below steps are for them to follow.

  1. Navigate to Freight module.

  2. Select the specific shipment requiring AMS approval.

  3. Open the AMS section.

  4. Click the button.

  5. Choose the View/Edit option.

  6. Find the Filing Status field and change it to Accepted.

  7. Click Save button.

  8. The AMS status will be modified to Accepted in customer portal.

Editing an AMS Details

  1. Click the button adjacent to the existing AMS file.

  2. Choose Edit option.

  3. Modify any necessary changes and click Save.

  4. Click Preview to view AMS details without saving.

AMS Confirmation Report

  1. Click the button adjacent to the existing AMS file.

  2. Choose AMS Confirmation Report option.

  3. You can Download or Print the viewed document.
